How To Embed A Facebook Live Video

If you’re doing Facebook Live videos, you might think your videos are being held captive, because you just can’t figure out how to get them off of Facebook and onto your website.

In this video tutorial, I demonstrate How To Embed a Facebook Live Video on to your WordPress website.  If you’re not able to listen, there’s text below the video that outlines each step.

How To Embed a Facebook Live Video

  1. From your main Facebook page, navigate to the Videos
  2. Find the section that states “All Videos”
  3. Select Video Library
  4. Find the Live video you want to embed > click on the title [new window opens “video details“]
  5. Below video you’ll find a link that says “view permalink” > click on link
  6. Video page will open > click on arrow on upper right-hand side of video.  A drop down will appear.
  7. Click on embed.  A window will open with embed code > highlight and copy.
  8. Insert embed code on your website or blog.  If using WordPress, insert in the text field under the “text” tab.

You can also embed a regular Facebook video.  One would assume that if you uploaded the video to Facebook that it’s probably on your computer, but it might come in handy to know where to locate the embed code in case of accidental erasure or computer crash.

I actually learned how to find the embed code by accident and found the video details more interesting than learning how to find the embed code.  It wasn’t until a fellow entrepreneur in a Facebook group asked how to embed the code that knowing how to do it came in handy.

And since it was of great value to her, I couldn’t help but make a video. 🙂  I hope this tutorial comes in handy for you as well.  If so, be sure to leave me some comments below.
